A day in the life of an embryologist!!

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an embryologist? What does an embryologist do on a day-to-day basis? Here’s a little insight into a day in the life of an embryologist…

An embryologist’s day begins with a morning team meeting. This is a chance for the team to catch up on any new developments or procedures that need to be carried out that day. It’s also a time to discuss any concerns or queries that team members may have.

After the team meeting, the embryologist will start to prepare for the procedures that are scheduled for that day. This involves making sure that all of the necessary equipment is clean and sterile, and that all of the required solutions are prepared.

Once the preparations are complete, the embryologist will begin the first procedure of the day. This could be anything from insemination to embryo transfer. Each procedure is carried out with great care and attention to detail, in order to give the patient the best possible chance of success.

After the first procedure is complete, the embryologist will take a short break before starting on the next one. During this time, they may make a start on some of the paperwork that is associated with each case.

The embryologist will then carry out the next procedure, and so on, until all of the scheduled procedures for that day are complete. Once all of the procedures are finished, the embryologist will spend some time cleaning up and preparing for the next day.

And that’s a typical day in the life of an embryologist!
