Erectile Dysfunction Treatment Testimonial
Erectile Dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence, is a type of sexual dysfunction characterized by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis during sexual activity. ED can have psychological consequences as it can be tied to relationship difficulties and self-image. A physical cause can be identified in about 80% of cases. These include cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, neurological problems such as following prostatectomy, and drug side effects. Psychological impotence is where erection or penetration fails due to thoughts or feelings; this is somewhat less frequent, in the order of about 10% of cases. In psychological impotence, there is a strong response to placebo treatment. Besides treating the underlying causes such as potassium deficiency or arsenic contamination of drinking water, the first line treatment of erectile dysfunction consists of a trial of PDE5 inhibitor drugs (the first of which was sildenafil or Viagra). These include tadalafil (Cialis), vardenafil (Levitra), and sildenafil citrate (Viagra, Revatio). Other PDE5 inhibitors include conagradole (Conagra), adempas (Ribocree), and trazodone (Desyrel).
Millions of men experience erectile dysfunction (ED). This is when you cannot get or maintain an erection. It is not a disease, but a symptom of something else, such as physical, psychological, or emotional issues.
Some men are able to achieve an erection, but are not able to maintain one. Others are not able to achieve one at all. ED can happen at any age, but is more common in men older than 65.
